When you hear the word “Borneo”, what comes into your mind? Lush green tropical rainforest accompanied by songs of the birds, majestic mountains decorated by moonlit waterfalls, deep blue ocean filled with coral reefs. That’s right, this is the Borneo that we know, well-known for being one of the biggest islands that is home to one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. Blessed with rich culture and abundance of natural resources, generations of natives thrive healthily in this resourceful island, cultivating natural treasures that have yet to be explored by the world. 

In 1851, Sir Hugh Low, a British Botanist and Naturalist made the first documented climb up to the now well-known Mount Kinabalu in Borneo Sabah. This act projected Borneo, along with many precious plants and animal species he discovered here into international spotlight. Inspired by Sir Hugh Low’s passion towards exploration and dedication in sharing his discoveries to the world, we at LOWII-B strive to continue the spirit of an enthusiast who believes in the healing properties of natural resources from Borneo forests, mountains and ocean, bringing pure natural products that the world could enjoy.

Having stayed in Sabah, Borneo for 30 years, our founder, Jessie Lee is a true lover of Borneo and the natural resources it has to offer.
